Oxford teen charged after allegedly striking man with gun, biting him

A 17-year-old Talawanda High School student is charged with aggravated robbery after an incident in which he allegedly struck a man with a gun and bit him on the arm.

Police were called to The Bluffs, a wooded area on the south side of town near Miami’s Peffer Park, at approximately 5:15 p.m. Sept. 18.

The victim, a 21-year-old, allegedly owed the juvenile money as the result of a drug deal and the juvenile confronted him with a gun, according to a police report.

During the confrontation, the juvenile allegedly struck the victim with the gun and bit him on the arm. Afterward, he hid the gun by wrapping it in a shirt and dropping it in a wooded area near the railroad tracks, police said.

Officer Matt Hardin and his K9 partner, Roscoe, were called in to conduct an article search and found the gun.

The 17-year-old Talawanda High School student was arrested after officers found him walking out of the woods. He was charged with aggravated robbery and transported to the Butler County Juvenile Detention Center.
