A new principal has been named for Lakota’s Adena Elementary School. The school board recently approved Jodi Leichman for the role after Ericka Simmons resigned to take a position in another district.

Since 2010, Leichman has been serving as a principal in Carlisle Local Schools. Before joining Carlisle, Leichman was an assistant principal for three years in Beavercreek City Schools.

In 2004, Leichman was named a National Board Certified Teacher. She graduated from Muskingum College and earned a master’s of art degree in teaching from Miami University.

Leichman previously served as a teacher at Hamilton City Schools and as a school improvement consultant with the Hamilton County Educational Service Center.
