WEST CHESTER TWP. — Five single-family homes featuring innovative designs, attractive decor and inviting floor plans are being showcased in the 49th Homearama in West Chester Twp.

The home show runs through Sunday at the Glenview Farm estate in Foxborough at Hamilton Mason Road and Ohio 747. Foxborough is a joint venture of Cobblestone Development and The Drees Company.

The event, which is making its first-ever appearance in West Chester Twp., is open to the public and conducted by the Homebuilders Association of Greater Cincinnati.

The homes, which range in price from $670,000 to more than $1 million, are built by some of the region’s top custom builders: Daniels Homes, Justin Doyle Homes, Willig Greystone Country Homes, Jack H. Wieland Builders Inc. and Zaring Premier Homes, HBA officials said.

Homearama provides big boost for the entire area, said Dan Dressman, executive director of the Cincinnati HBA.

For every new home built, he said, three new jobs are created. It is estimated the construction of 100 single-family homes result in more than $21.1 million in new local income, $2.2 million in taxes and other local government revenue, and 324 local jobs — all in the first year.

“There is a recurring effect for several years after the initial construction phase. When a family moves into a new home, they will generally spend money on furniture, home decorations, retail establishments, landscaping and a whole host of other businesses in the area,” Dressman said.

“Home ownership typically represents the largest source of net worth for most families. Builders and suppliers are the immediate beneficiaries, but the far-reaching benefits reach all segments of a community.”
