HAMILTON — Accessorizing your home might be easier than it seems, according to a local designer.

The Fitton Center will bring in Tina Jacoby Welsh on Wednesday, March 10, for the latest Celebrating Self lecture.

Welsh is an interior designer with her own business, Free Lance design. She has practiced design for 30 years, which includes 14 years as senior interior designer for Miami University in Oxford, plus 16 years running her own consulting business, which does both commercial and residential work.

“We thought (the lecture) would be good because people don’t always know ways to accessorize their home without spending a lot of moiney,” said Jodi Fritsch, Fitton’s director of public relations and marketing.

Welsh will discuss the basics of accessorizing and how people can use everday things to accessorize their homes. She will explore topics like the basic shape of coffee tables, how books can be used as aceessories, and how to organize collections.

The event opens at 11:45 a.m. with a buffet lunch and entertainment by Treva Boardman. The cost for members is $15; for nonmembers, $17. For tickets, call (513) 863-8873, ext. 110.
