Even though the Lebanon Antique, Arts, and Artisans Show has been around long enough to be classified an antique itself, promoters promise the show remains polished, pristine, and of the highest quality.
More than 50 antiques dealers from around the country, as well as an additional 50 artists and artisans, will showcase their wares at the 65th annual Lebanon Antiques, Arts, and Artisans Show 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3 and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 4 at the Warren County Fairgrounds, 655 N. Broadway St., Lebanon.
Admission is $8 and proceeds from the show benefit the Warren County Historical Society. A $2 parking fee will also benefit the Lebanon High School Marching Band.
Like a well-cared for antique, the Lebanon Antique Show has received a new shine. Organizers have added artisans, food, music, and demonstrations to the exceptional antiques dealers in order to give the show an “event feel” according to Victoria Tappy, executive director of the Warren County Historical Society.
“Our goal is to offer something to everybody,” Tappy said.
Tappy said last year’s event attracted 3,000 patrons. With the new, larger show, Tappy is hopeful of doubling that number this year.
The show is being bolstered through a sponsorship deal with Early American Life magazine, which had published advertisements for the show and given organizers access to its coveted approved artisan list as potential vendors.
The show will also feature demonstrations and displays from several notable locals including woodwork guru David T. Smith, as well as readings from historical writers Fred Compton and John Zimkus.
At 65 years, the show is the longest continuously running antique show in Ohio, Tappy said.
“We’ve always been a high-quality show with good investment quality products,” Tappy said. “Many people come to purchase items, but others come just to look at the antiques because they are so pretty.”
