The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the crash of the twin-engine Beechcraft BE58 plane near Kerrville, a Federal Aviation Administration spokesman told the Houston Chronicle. The flight took off from West Houston Airport, the spokesman said.

At least six people were aboard the plane, the Chronicle reported. According to the Kerr County Sheriff's Office, there were multiple fatalities, the Kerrville Daily Times reported.
The plane was preparing to land at the Kerrville Municipal Airport, KTRK reported. The plane wreckage was located 6 miles northwest of the airport, the television station reported.
Sheriff's Office officials said the plane crashed into a ravine, KPRC reported.
