LIBERTY TOWNSHIP —

If you are looking for a neighborhood with a diverse population, the Four Bridges Community may be just the place for you.

Construction in the neighborhood began in 1999. Today, it is made up of 812 custom-built residences, and encompasses almost 500 acres of land in Liberty Twp.

Four Bridges offers a variety of residence styles and price ranges, including custom estate homes from $450,000 to $900,000 plus, single-family neighborhood homes costing from $270,000 to $550,000, patio and club homes with costs in the $250,000s, town homes in the mid-$200,000s, and apartments running from $795 to $1,550 per month.

These options attract young adults, families and empty nesters alike to the community, said Tom Farrell, president of the Four Bridges Homeowners Association.

“It truly appeals to all ages and stages of living,” he said of the neighborhood.

Four Bridges residents rarely need a car on the weekends, as community activities, including block parties, cookouts and fireworks shows, abound, Farrell said. Some residents have their own pools, and others enjoy three outdoor pools, one for children, one for adults and one for families, at Four Bridges Country Club. The neighborhood also features a 200-acre golf course woven through the club, with features including streams and waterfalls and is catered to golfers of all skill levels. Other club amenities include tennis courts and a fitness and aerobic facility.

The community’s nearby attractions also are a draw, Farrell said.

Residents can walk or bike to the nearby Voice of America Centre, located in West Chester Twp., which features restaurants including Panera Bread and Bonefish Grill. In addition, plans are under way to build a $300 million lifestyle center called Liberty Town Square, which will be “practically in walking distance” of Four Bridges, Farrell said. This “mixed-use development” is set to open in spring 2015, and the first phase of the project will include about 1.3 million square feet of retail, dining and entertainment options, according to the website of co-developer Steiner + Associates.

On top of these perks, Four Bridges is located in the Lakota Local school district. Lakota, the largest school district in Butler County, has been rated “Excellent with Distinction” on the Ohio Department of Education’s Ohio Report Card every year since 2007-08.

Ultimately, the biggest attraction of the neighborhood comes back to the variety of living options, though, Farrell said.

“The neighborhood’s diversity allows for different lifestyles to co-exist in an extremely friendly environment,” he said. “The amount of activity in the development coupled with the growth around the area makes Four Bridges an excellent choice for someone that is just starting out all the way to retirement and everywhere in between.”

PROFILE OF A HOME

Homeowners: Don and Elizabeth Coleman

Address: 8106 Cherry Laurel Drive

Their home: Five bedrooms, four and a half baths, one office, a remodeled basement, and an outdoor patio, with about 6,500 square feet of living space

When they moved in: August 2008

Why they were first attracted to home and neighborhood: “When we came to the Cincinnati area, we first planned to build a home but discovered Four Bridges. The homes offered such quality and custom features, while the neighborhood offered fabulous and affordable membership to a great country club. While visiting, residents went out of their way to say ‘hello,’ and we felt welcome.”

Why they love home and neighborhood today: “The area is quaint, the views beautiful, and the convenience for travel and shopping are great. Initially, we joined the Four Bridges Country Club for the convenience of the swimming pool, but soon after added full membership and have enjoyed all that the club has to offer, from the pool to the racquet sports to the golf course, all at a very reasonable price for a country club. There are a lot of children in the neighborhood, so our children can easily find others to play with, and they can easily ride their bikes to the playground or pool. The club’s restaurant is also family friendly and a convenient and enjoyable place to drop in for a casual dinner or drink. We have been very fortunate to meet several great families in the neighborhood, and we have built some strong friendships in the short time that we have lived here. They have all been very gracious and welcoming, making Four Bridges feel like home very quickly.”
