Lebanon man faces 30 child pornography charges

A Lebanon man has been indicted on 30 counts of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor in 2017, according to a list released today by the Warren County Prosecutor’s Office.

Charles Minner, 30, remained free pending his arraignment on Sept. 7, according to jail and court records.

Minner allegedly “possessed images which contained minors used in sexual activity” in February and March 2017, according to a description included with the case and reported today by the prosecutor’s office as grand jury indictments.

“He was discovered sharing images online,” County Prosecutor David Fornshell said in a text message.

The Ohio Attorney General Office’s Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) was the investigating agency, according to Fornshell.

“This was an investigation led by our BCI Crimes Against Children Unit into allegations that the defendant was downloading/sharing images of child pornography. We conducted a search warrant where electronics were seized and had to be analyzed,” according to Jill Del Greco, BCI public information officer.

Lebanon police assisted in a search of Minner’s home on April 5, 2017, according to police records.

Of the 30 charges, half are for possession, half for distributing, child pornography stored on three electronic devices, Fornshell added.

A warrant was issued Monday for his arrest, according to court records. He was not in custody on Tuesday, according to jail records.
